What areas do you serve?

We work throughout the Upper Wenatchee Valley and Highway 2 corridor, including Leavenworth, Plain, Lake Wenatchee, Peshastin, Cashmere, and Wenatchee. Not sure if you're in range? Give us a call.

Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We are fully licensed (CLIFTTS765MN), bonded, and carry general liability and workers' compensation insurance. We follow ANSI Z133 safety standards and OSHA regulations on every job. A certificate of insurance is available on request.

Question 4

What will my property look like when the crew is done?

Accepted Answer

Most projects are chipped on-site — brush and limbs run through the chipper, logs stacked in 14-foot lengths or less. We can also cut logs into 16-inch firewood rounds if you want to keep them, or haul everything away for a clean slate. We'll confirm which option works best during the estimate.

How do you handle removals in tight spaces?

We use cranes and lifts when they make sense for safety or cost — sometimes rigging a piece down by hand is faster, sometimes a crane is the right call. We'll walk you through the approach during the estimate so there are no surprises on job day.

Question 6

How do you protect my property during a job?

Accepted Answer

We assess the drop zone and rigging plan before any cuts are made. Landscaping, fences, and structures are considered in the removal plan from the start. If something could be damaged, we'll talk through options before we begin — not after.

Do you use spurs when climbing live trees?

Accepted Answer

No. Spurs wound the cambium layer every time they're used and leave entry points for disease and insects. We use spurs only on trees being removed, never on trees we're pruning and leaving in place.

Can I get the wood chips from my job?

Accepted Answer

Free wood chips are available when we have them. Fill out the request form on our Wood Chips page and we'll contact you when a load is coming your way. Availability depends on our schedule — we can't guarantee chips from your specific job.

Question 9

How far out are you typically booked?

Accepted Answer

We're typically 6–8 weeks out during peak season (late spring through early fall). Hazard trees and emergencies move faster. The best way to get on the schedule is to reach out early — we book from the estimate queue.

Question 10

How does payment work?

Accepted Answer

We accept bank transfer, credit card, and check. There are no card processing fees. A 50% deposit is due before work begins; the remaining balance is due on completion.

How many people will be on my property?

Accepted Answer

Crew size depends on the job. Large removals typically run 3–4 people. Pruning or smaller work may be 1–2. We'll give you a heads-up if a job requires more equipment or a larger crew than typical.

Do I need to be home during the work?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. Many of our clients — especially second-home owners — aren't on site. We need clear access to the work area and any relevant gates open. If you have a dog, please secure it before the crew arrives. We'll confirm access details before the job date and follow up when work is complete.

Do I need a permit to remove a tree?

Accepted Answer

Most residential tree work in our area doesn't require a permit. Exceptions include work near riparian (streamside) zones, which may trigger Chelan County review, and anything involving utility lines, which requires coordination with the PUD and an 811 locate. We'll flag permit questions during the estimate and can advise on next steps.

Do you work near power lines?

We handle tree work in the vicinity of power lines but do not contact or work on energized utility lines — that's PUD territory. We coordinate the 811 underground utility locate process and will tell you upfront if a job requires the PUD to be involved before we can proceed.

Question 15

What about the stump — do you grind it?

Stump grinding is a separate service and is not included in tree removal by default. We can grind stumps to a few inches below grade, which allows the area to be replanted or covered. If you want the stump left high for aesthetic reasons, we can do that too. Let us know during the estimate and we'll price it out.

Do you do Firewise or fire mitigation work?

Yes. We do defensible space and fuels-reduction work for residential and rural properties throughout the Highway 2 corridor. This typically involves removing ladder fuels, thinning overcrowded stands, and chipping slash on-site. Work can be scoped to align with Firewise USA guidelines or your insurance carrier's requirements. Ask about this on your estimate request.

My HOA requires arborist approval before tree work. Can you help?

Yes. ISA Certified Arborists on our team can provide written documentation supporting tree work for HOA review, permit applications, or insurance purposes. Let us know you need this when you request your estimate so we can include it in the scope.

Do you respond to storm damage and emergencies?

Call us at 509-398-2840 and describe what you're dealing with. We triage hazard situations — trees on structures, blocked driveways, immediate safety risks — as quickly as our schedule allows. If a tree is on a power line or the situation poses an immediate threat to life, call 911 or the PUD first; we follow behind once the scene is safe.
