You can expect to have your property looking as clean as it was before our arrival. We chip all branches and material up to 8” in diameter. The remaining trunk section is cut into 16” lengths (standard firewood length) and piled as firewood near the base of the tree cut down.
We give away wood chips for free to the surrounding community. If you would like chips on your property, we can broadcast the chips, or chip into our dump truck and dump the chips where you want them.
We climb most of the trees we cut down! This involves using a harness, ropes, and spurs to climb the tree and cut branches as we go.
Yes! We use a variety of techniques to lower branches and trunk sections safely without damaging the area below.
We prefer to accept checks or bank transfers through QuickBooks. We can accommodate a credit card payment but have to charge an additional 3.5%.
The number of arborists on a job depends on the size of the project. For large removals, our crew consists of four people. For smaller limbing or pruning, we may send a two-person crew.
Spurless climbing is a technique used for limbing or pruning live trees. Spurless climbing means the climber does not use spurs or spikes to climb the tree. Instead, the climbers use ropes to fully support themselves.
Spurs have sharp metal spikes that stab into the tree and allow a climber to stand on the tree. This damages the tree's cambium layer and bark which can allow insects or diseases to more easily get into the tree. Additionally, spurs leave visible marks on the tree that can be unsightly.
